DOOR 100% GRASP
26/01/2016DOOR 100% GRASP
All growers of DOOR Cooperative have obtained the GRASP module. GRASP is an addition to the current Global GAP certificate in which the social conditions are tested. This is important because more often retailers ask about whether good working conditions and good entrepreneurship are anchored. “For DOOR, having good entrepreneurship on the grow sites is self-evident. “The fact that all members acquired his module proves it” says Quality Manager Els Weerdenburg.
Why GRASP?
DOOR’s brands, GeenDiamonds, Purple Pride, Prominent, PapriCo and Sweetpoint supply, via their chain partners, a large number of retailers in Europe. Because of GRASP, all associated growers can easily prove to have organized and implemented all social aspects. In this manner we participate in the growing customer demands of our chain partners. The Global GAP certificate is a permanent feature and Weerdenburg expects this will be true for GRASP in the future.
Content GRASP
GRASP is the abbreviation of Global Risk Assessment on Social Practice. The GRASP module evaluates whether or not a company meets the demands in the field of personnel- and wages administration, pensions and outsourcing of work. The growers don’t receive a GRASP certificate but are registered as such in de Global Gap database.
