Supermarkets are applying increasingly stringent requirements for their products. Food-safety is guaranteed through crop protection measures carried out under strict procedures. In addition, we continually monitor all of our products for remaining residues through analyses performed by an accredited laboratory. This allows us to demonstrate that our crop protection measures always comply with the regulations laid down by supermarkets and retailers. All our growers are certified by the GLOBAL G.A.P. certification system for supermarket organizations in Europe. This requires products to be safe, high-quality, traceable, and grown sustainably. These criteria also apply for the German QS certification system, specially developed for the fruit and vegetable sector. What is more, retailers are increasingly seeking assurances of good working conditions and employment practices. Each and every one of our growers has passed the GRASP module – the assessment framework for social practices at cultivation sites.

Our inspectors check the quality, care, and shelf life of our products. The inspection reports are then shared with the growers and the sales department, containing recommendations on how producers can improve the quality and shelf life. They are also responsible for managing complaints.
